Wendell Phillips informs William Lloyd Garrison that Woodman has sent to him the "final sum $447.45" from the "Blydenburgh will", and notes that Garrison, as the "first named of the Trustees" has the first right to "decide how it shall be used". Phillips informs Garrison that he spent the sum of $200 in acquiring "help for the will", and inquires if Garrison might see fit to return the sum of $100 back to him.
