Letter from Oliver Johnson, New York, [N.Y.], to William Lloyd Garrison, June 7, 1872
Description:
Oliver Johnson writes to William Lloyd Garrison stating that Mary Anne Johnson's condition has worsened dramatically since Garrison saw her last on Wednesday. Johnson states that her extremities are becoming cold to the touch, and that her face "wears the line of death". Johnson states that she is unconscious most of the time, and that while there are yet "flashes of intelligence" displayed, he himself opines that it "hardly seems possible that she can last 4 hours longer".
