Letter from George Thompson, to William Lloyd Garrison, April 3, 1868
Description:
Geo Thompson thanks William Lloyd Garrison for sending him the March 14th’s issue of the [American Anti-Slavery] Standard. He then praises Garrison’s letter of February 25 written in reply to the “cruel aspersions” of Wendell Phillips. After talking about his health and a “Chemico Electric Bath” therapy he went through, Thompson describes his life in London. He says he has been able to provide all the comfort for his family since he returned to home in London, and has been keeping up with the news from America.
