William Lloyd Garrison received the receipt for his subscription to the Christian Union along with the gift of a chromo. Garrison has already purchased chromos for his grandchildren. Garrison comments, "I am really amazed at the circulation of the Christian Union," the periodical where Oliver Johnson is employed. Garrison sent a letter to Oliver Johnson at the New York Tribune office and believes he will still find it there.
