Fanny Garrison Villard invited William Lloyd Garrison to her "Kettle Drum" party. Last night, William L. Garrison attended a meeting at the Conversational Club in which evolution was discussed. Garrison writes: "I spent the evening, by special invitation, with Dora Brigham, at a seance given by Mrs. Maude Lord Mitchell in Waltham Street." Garrison has received invitations to lecture. Mary Townsend (Mrs. William Townsend) called on him. He received a photograph of Thomas Bewick's two daughters. Mrs. John Mawson sent a New Years card to Fanny G. Villard.
