Letter from Oliver Johnson, New York, [N.Y.], to William Lloyd Garrison, April 29 [1862]
Description:
Oliver Johnson forwards to William Lloyd Garrison a note received from John W. Hutchinson in which the latter offers to contribute to the cause musically. Johnson informs Garrison that he has sent a telegraph to Hutchinson urging him to "sing a donation to the cause" provided that he is able to afford doing so. Johnson states that he has not yet received Garrison's list of speakers for the upcoming annual meeting of the American Anti-Slavery Society.
