Letter from John Jones, Roxbury, to Amos Augustus Phelps, Feb 1838
Description:
In this letter to Amos A. Phelps, John Jones expresses his disapproval of what happened at the closing of the Anniversary meeting of the Massachusetts Anti-slavery Society. Voicing his objection to the way the annual report was disposed, he asks Phelps to bring the matter to the Board and to have the report properly disposed, which in his opinion is according to the member vote. He rebukes Phelps on his action against Garrison.
