Letter from E. D. Moore, Wrentham, to Amos Augustus Phelps, Feb.3. 1840
Description:
In this letter Erasmus Darwin Moore requests that Amos A. Phelps attend a few of his personal businesses, including purchasing some butter and buckwheat for his family, since Moore’s wife trusts him (Phelps) as a good “taster.” Moore expresses his disapproval of Fitch’s letter to Garrison that was covered in the Liberator.
