In the foreground, a knight advances on the left. He is bareheaded and seen from behind and his scarf covers his armor. He holds his shield and his spear with his left hand. In the middle, the Vision, a young woman, is seen from the front. She sits on the cloud and her head rests on her right hand. Behind her, on the right, are two flying génies, one of whom plays the mandolin. (Weber, Oberon, act I)
