These Once Were Buildings-- Rubble-filled streets and the standing shells of a few buildings create a ghost-town atmosphere in Argostolion, chief port on the Greek island of Kefallinia, after the devastating series of earthquakes which brought death and destruction to three Ionian Sea islands this past week. The giant U.S. aircraft carrier Franklin D. Roosevelt dropped anchor at Argostolion today to serve as a floating base for air relief of the quake-stricken people.
