Family Rescued -- The destroyer escort USS Blair pulls alongside to rescue, Clair, 22 (left), Robert, 16 (right), and their mother Mrs. William J. Boudreau of Fall River, Mass., after they had drifted down Narragansett Bay over 4 miles from Common Fence Point, B.I., for two-and-one half hours on rooftop of their cottage during Tuesday's hurricane. The Blair was steaming in the bay to maintain position after losing her anchor when the Boudreaus were spotted. Shortly after this picture was made the rooftop sank throwing the Boudreau's into the Bay. Sailors from the Blair rescued the children and Mrs. Boudreau was rescued by another vessel.
