Albert Abercrombie. ‘Conscience’ Slayer in Hub Police Lineup. An East Boston baker who told police at Joy Street station that he killed a rooming house owner in New York two weeks ago, was questioned in the headquarters lineup today pending arrival of New York detectives. Albert B. Abercrombie, 53, told Lt. Denis J. Riordan of the fatal stabbing early yesterday and said that he wanted to give himself up because “my conscience is bothering me.” He told of killing Jonah Shrubshtyk, 49, owner of a lodging house at 174 West 81st street. The stabbing occurred April 5 but Shrubshtyk’s body was not found until four days later.
