To Ease Traffic -- This new bridge for St. Mary street at the Boston-Brooklyn line, over the extension of the Massachussetts Turnpike, was opened to traffic yesterday. The &150,000 structure will be part of a detour during the reconstruction of the Commonwealth Avenue Bridge at the Boston University Bridge. The three spans total 170 ft. The roadway, with two sidewalks, is one foot wider than the old bridge.
