Baltimore -- Making Room For Constellation -- An unidentified striking seaman watched as a tugboat moved the steamer, Alcea Purten, to another berth yesterday. The ship was moved to make room for the historic frigate, Constellation, which will be dedicated July 4th. The striking maritime unions dropped their pickets to allow the ship to be moved and management paid pilotage on the ship. The Constellation, which has been undergoing restoration, will be open to visitors after the dedication ceremonies.
