Donald Prescott Loker, born 8 August 1902, Natick, MA, died 6 October 1988, Oceanside, CA. 6’ 1 ½”, rugged-looking leading man in Hollywood low-budgeters and serials of the 30s and 40s: The Secret of Treasure Island, 1938; Don Winslow of the Navy, 1942; Don Winslow of the Coast Guard 1943. Leut. Commander in Navy, with Purple Heart in 1944, became businessman 1946. He was chairman of the board, Donald P. Loker Cancer Treatment Center, Los Angeles, CA, established in 1922. A founding member of both the Southern California Cancer Center and California Museum of Science and Industry Foundation.
