[Additional information from item] Ruins of the Bazes, in Jamalpur, where loss of life and property was heavy in the quake of Jan. 15. Relatives are shown searching among the debris for their loved ones. Final and unofficial estimates of the death list approximated 9000 persons. Many devout natives blamed the "quake on the Gods' vengeance for the recent successful flight of British flyers over Mt. Everest, in the Himalayas.
