A number of people stand with their backs to the camera and spectators line a long fence separating the wagon from the onlookers. Behind the spectators can be seen the tops of tents, flagpoles, and a viewing stand. The flags of the United States, Germany, Hungary, as well as two others are raised. Two banners are partially obscured. One banner reads in part "Guillouo of Slough," the other reads in part, "[ho]rseguards."
