Holograph, signed.
William Lloyd Garrison wants Oliver Johnson to send him "a congratulatory and farewell letter" for insertion in the last issue of the Liberator. He tells Johnson how long the article should be and when he needs to have it. Garrison writes: "How much, dear Oliver, I have owed you in the past for your steadfast friendship, your sound judgment, your clear vision, your hopeful spirit, your hearty co-operation, and your many acts of brotherly kindness! If in any way, or to any extent, I have been of any service to you, I shall rejoice."
