William Lloyd Garrison is on his way to Fort Sumter where there will be flag-raising ceremonies. He tells about his trip and gives the names of some of the passengers. He describes General Robert Anderson. Secretary E. M. Stanton chose the members of the group very carefully. Garrison is sharing his stateroom with George Thompson.
