Holograph, signed with initials.
William Lloyd Garrison describes his lecture in the courthouse in Lafayette, Indiana, and the kind hospitality he received from Cyrus Ball. Garrison writes: "Wm F. Reynolds, President of the Railroad, gave me a free ticket to the city. I came on with Senator Lane, Hon. Mr. Orth, and other members of Congress, on their way to Congress. I am constantly urging the importance of not admitting any of the rebel States into the Union until a longer probation, and find leading men to accept my views." Garrison gives his itinerary.
