Shantz, A's pitcher who won 24 and lost seven the past season, would not discuss what took place during the hour-long meeting, merely saying- "I didn't sign." Shantz reportedly has been seeking in terms of $30,000 to $35,000 while the A's have been reported as offering him around $20,000.
