A beautiful watercolor of the Stockbridge House in Whately. The house is long gone but was in the Straits Long Plain area. The painting is signed by "Preston" but we have no further information on him or her. The title of the painting, filed with it on pieces of a mat that was damaged beyond saving, has the date 1797.
