New Life Raft Developed--A new radio-controlled life raft developed by Douglas Aircraft company here in conjunction with the Air Force air materiel command is pictured during a demonstration here. Top picture shows the aluminum alloy cylinder containing the life raft as it lies in the water. Lower picture shows the cylinder opening under pressure of carbon-dioxide which is inflating the raft. Cylinder can be launched by aircraft or ocean craft equipped with torpedo tubes.
