Additional information accompanying item: John Hancock New Bldg, Topped Off 9/27/71. A 36 ft. steel beam carrying an American flag, a fir tree and bronze medallion was raised to the top of the John Hancock Tower in recognition of the completion of the structural steel work on the 60 story edifice.
