A weather guide that makes automatic local forecasts from wind and cloud conditions has been developed from war-born forecasting techniques and Northern Hemisphere daily weather charts for the past half century. According to announcement by American Optical Company, a simple turn of a dial that aligns a red arrow with cloud formation and wind direction produces the correct weather prediction for the next 12 to 24 hours in a small window. Clouds in the sky are matched with one of seven colored pictures of cloud formations on the face of the instrument which is designed for use in the home, office or outdoors.
