Text from item: Emergency food plans made at Northeast meeting. Plans for coordinating the procurement and distribution of essential food supplies in New England, New York State, and New Jersey in the event of enemy attack were made at a meeting of the Northeast Regional Food Executive Committee held May 12, 1953, at the Northeast Regional Office, Federal Civil Defense Administration, Newton Center, Mass. Ten people at rear desk (left to right): Francis Smith, Chief of Emergency Food Supply Services, New York State Civil Defense Commission and New York State Department of Agriculture and Markets; Thomas A. Donnelly, Regional Training and Education Officer, FCDA; Paul B. Murphy, Industrial Specialist on Food Products, Health and Welfare Office, FCDA; A. D. O'Connor, Regional Director, FCDA; Neil P.
