Amber group. Greek, VI century B.C. The Metropolitan Museum of Art
Description:
From back of item: Amber ornament. A woman and a boy, perhaps Aphrodite and Adonis, recline on a couch, at the foot of which a little child is sitting. Remains of iron rivets at the back indicate that the objects served as an ornament. Said to be from Tarentum.
