Big and dangerous Hurricane Gladys raised its aim slightly 9/19 to point 125 mile per hour winds at the North Carolina coast. At 6 P.M. EDT, Gladys was centered about 640 miles east of Vero Beach, Fla., and an equal distance southeast of Wilmington, N.c. It was moving northwestward at 6 MPH.
