Letter from T.P. Locke, Westminster, [Mass.], to William Lloyd Garrison, May 19, 1846
Description:
T.P. Locke forwards to William Lloyd Garrison a notice for the quarterly meeting of the Worcester North Division Anti-Slavery Society, to take place at Princeton on Thursday, June 4th, 1846. Locke invites all "friends of humanity", be they "Liberty Men", "Whigs", or "Democrats", to attend, and declares that a discussion will be held at the meeting on the "duty of freemen in view of the present posture of our country." Locke requests that Garrison publish this notice in the Liberator as soon as possible.
