Willard writes to William Lloyd Garrison requesting a "word of encouragement" from the champion of "the material Anti-Slavery cause" to those engaged in the "spiritual cause of anti-slavery". Willard asserts that any suggestions or thoughts that Garrison might offer them would be "greatly valued".
