Russell NBS's Most Valuable Player--Again- For the third straight year, Bill Russell, Boston Celtics center, has been named the most valuable player in the National Basketball Association. The selection was made by a 27-man committee representing the United States basketball writers association, and was top choice on 16 of the 27 ballots compiled. Elgin Baylor of the Los Angeles Lakers was runner-up with 196 points against Russell's 256.
