Ford Steel in the Making Here, in the great open hearth steel plant at the Rouge Plant of the Ford Motor Company in Dearborn, Michigan, molten metal is being poured from a giant ladle into ingot molds--one of the intermediate steps in the making of steel for the now 1935 Ford V-8 cars and trucks. Four molds are filled at one operation.
