Additional information from accompanying materials: House restored by new owners Mr. and Mrs. Walter Peinze in ?. Stephen Badger succeeded Oliver Peabody as Minister in South Natick. In 1753 he brought his wife to this then unfinished house. The Indians had a custom of presenting each new minister with a gift of “Friendship Elms,” one of which still stands at the front of the lot.
