The City Bank Farmers Trust Building (to left of centre) and City Service Building (to right of centre) dominate the line of skyscrapers which extend from the Whitehall Building on the left to the Singer Building, Fulton Fish Market, and Beekman Street on the right. In the foreground men are cleaning the surface of a pier built on wooden piles. A tug approaches on the right.
