A view through a series of doorways, with a hanging lamp in the middle. On the right, two seated beggars back to back, one with a bowl, and another under a square doorway further on. After four trial proofs were printed this plate was abandoned in favour of "Beggars, Tetuan, No.2", the same subject reversed, with considerable variations.
