Description:: An emaciated cow representing British commerce grazed on Scottish thistles. Men representing France, Spain, and Holland have just milked the cow. The British lion howls because he has hurt his foot on a broken tea pot. In the background is a symbolic surrender at Yorktown with four Englishmen humbly approaching an American Indian on a throne surrounded by Justice, Mars, and Hercules. Out at sea, Howe's flagship, "Eagle," has sunk.
