Additional information accompanying item: Walpole State Prisoners being sought. State Trooper Phil Rembski shown bloodhound "Tina" 10/18/71. Two inmates escaped from the maximum security Walpole State Prison. Authorities believe the pair walked out of an unguarded door. The escapees were identified as John P. Kavanaugh, 29, of Brockton, sentenced to Walpole for life in 1961; and James W. Barton, 31, of Roxbury, serving ten to fifteen years for armed robbery.
