Dust Drifts. A wagon lies buried on a windblown farm in Dallam County, Tex., symbolic of the effect of the Dust Bowl disaster of the 1930's. Loose soil is drifted nearly five feet deep along the fences and against the buildings. Some residents of the Great Plains fear a repetition as a result of the current dry spell.
