Maria Weston Chapman criticizes the theological and metaphysical methods of attacking slavery employed by Parker Pillsbury and Stephen S. Foster as being obsolete. Chapman does not think Parker Pillsbury or Howard Gilbert could edit the Anti-Slavery Standard. She says that Pillsbury's mental outlook is a result of his ill health. She discusses the post office question. She mentions Nathan Matthews.
