Calling for spiritual awakening and moral revival, Dr. Graham painted a bleak picture of today's average man as "distressed, discouraged and unhappy, hounded by conscience, driven by passion and ruled by selfishness, belligerent, quarrelsome and unfriendly, confused, depressed and miserable."
