Silverless Quarter--Miss Eva Adams, Director of the U.S. Mint, shows newsmen the first of the nation's new no-silver quarter stamped at the Philadelphia Mint. Miss Adams explained that the old quarter had a silver content of 90 per cent, the new one has no silver at all. It is a "sandwich" composed of pure copper core pressed between faces of copper-nickel alloy.
