Additional information from accompanying material: On this day in 1873, Eunice (Atkinson) Currier passed away. In her will, she left the city of Newburyport several acres of land on High Street near the junction of Moseley and Storey avenues and Ferry Road to be "known forever as Atkinson Common." -Information provided by the Historical Society of Old Newbury.
