Typed on back: View of north wall at Sta. 1303+30 featuring banded aspect of the rock. Hornblende diorite (dark) occurs interbanded with a gray granite (gray), together with pegmatite (white). This is especially emphasized in the middle portion of the picture where pegmatite is seen in contact with diorite. Other portions show pegmatite occurring as faint streaks, small lenticular masses, and narrow bands. Streaking or foliation of the granite is also emphasized. The ventilation pipe shown in the upper portion of the picture is about 14 in. in diameter.
