Maggie Teyte (1888-1976) was an English soprano. She was a pupil of Jean de Reszke and also studied with Debussy. She is the only singer who was accompanied by an orchestra with Debussy on piano. She performed with the Chicago Opera Company and the Boston Opera Company and, in 1958, was made a Dame Commander of the Order of the British Empire (DBE).

She is Miss Maggie Teyte who has made a great name for herself in Paris, London and on the Continent where she has been appearing on the operatic stage. She will appear in Massenet's "Cendrillion" at its initial performance in Philadelphia on November 6th, in which she is to create the title role. Her New York appearance will be as Micaela in "Carmen."
