(Full text, Latin followed by French): Expavit Isaac stupore vehementi, et ait: Germanus tuus accepit benedictionem tuam. Cumque ejulatu magno fleret, motus Isaac dixit: In pinguedine terrae, et in rore coeli, erit benedictio tua. Vives in gladio, et fratri tuo servies. Gen. c. XXVII. v. 33. 35. 38. 39. 40. Isaac frappe d'un grand etonnement, lui dit: Votre frere a recu: la benediction qui vous etoit due. Esau jettant alors des cris mesles de larmes, Isaac en fut touche, et lui dit: Votre benediction sera dans la fecondite de la terre, et dans la rosee du ciel. Vous vivrez de l'epee. et vous servirez votre frere. Translation: Isaac trembled exceedingly, and said,"Your brother came with deceit and has taken away your blessing." And Esau lifted up his voice and wept. Then Isaac his father answered and said to him: "Behold, your dwelling shall be of the fatness of the earth, And of the dew of heaven from above. By your sword you shall live, And you shall serve your brother. " Gen. 27: 33, 35, 38-40.
