Deborah Weston begins the letter with an explanation of the reasons she sent a package by stagecoach. She goes on to describe her social activities, attendance at church, etc. John F. Emerson gave Deborah Weston a copy of the "Emancipator" and the "Massachusetts Abolitionist," on which she comments: "I want to see Maria's lines 'The Boston Controversy' & the Lovejoy sonnet..." Deborah wants Mrs. Wendell Phillips's letter and the two copies of Right and Wrong. She gives directions about sending them. She heard that Francis Jackson had been in town and wished she had seen him.
