Holograph, signed.
Anne Warren Weston reports the decision that Isaac Knapp is to lease the Liberator to "the Committee," with William Jackson, John S. Williams, and Samuel E. Sewall in charge. Tells about visitors, including Dr. Amos Farnsworth and Mr. and Mrs. David Lee Child. Attended a lecture by Dr. C. T. C. Follen. Anne describes the calls she made. Mrs. Maria W. Chapman "had a good meeting at Lynn" and dinner at William Bassett's. Elizabeth Pease wrote Bassett "that she is going to make a stir in England to make the Friends there testify against American Friends at whatever peril to herself." The faithful assembled at the Marlboro and decided on a weekly contribution plan and to reestablish the monthly concerts [of prayer for the slaves]. Tells about the collection of subscriptions for the Liberator, petitioning, and the forthcoming meeting at Hartford.
There is a separate, brief note by little Ann G. Chapman on page 3.
