[Additional information from item] Fifth Anniversary for Hub TV Station. New England's first television station - WBZ-TV in Boston - celebrates its fifth anniversary on June 9. The Television Center, shown here with its 649 foot television tower, the highest structure in New England, has been in operation since 1948. The station is now the originating point for close to 75 live television shows weekly. Also, many of the top network telecasts are beamed to New England through WBZ-TV.
