In the letter, Warren writes, "I have sent you two of the latest papers from the U: States: & am sorry to say that any Friendly Disposition seems small indeed: Maddison in consequence of the War & the increase of Patronage has probably secured his election...The attacks upon Canada continue & in more Force..."
