Auto Is Victim of Ice Jam--Lloyd Gage uses an axe today in attempt to free auto trapped in ice on the bank of the Fox River at nearby Dayton, Ill. Gage said the ice completely covered the auto yesterday and was 25 feet high at one point. The huge ice jam on the river sank several feet lower today as the water level began dropping off from its high point of yesterday. Residents were ready to evacuate their homes should mild weather cause the ice jam to break up and deluge low-lying areas.
